Stuart Cardiology Group, in conjunction with the patient’s primary physician, will carefully assess symptoms including shortness of breath, chest pain or irregular heart rhythm. If it is determined that further testing is needed, Stuart Cardiology Group has many diagnostic tools available to pinpoint and assess heart problems.

Megan Rivera, APRN

Megan Rivera earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indian River State College. She is a board certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner that has specialized in cardiology since 2020. 

Megan began her nursing career in 2011 at Martin Healthcare System, where she gained extensive experience across multiple clinical settings, including the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Transfer Center, and the pre- and post-cardiac catheterization unit. During this time, she developed a strong foundation in acute cardiac care, patient stabilization, and interdisciplinary coordination.

In 2020, after earning her Master of Science in Nursing, Megan transitioned into advanced practice and began working as a Nurse Practitioner in a private cardiology practice. In this role, she provides comprehensive cardiovascular care, managing both acute and chronic cardiac conditions with a focus on evidence-based treatment, prevention, and patient education.

Following her experience in private practice, Megan transitioned to Jupiter Medical Center, where she served as a Nurse Practitioner within Cardiovascular Services. In this role, she worked collaboratively alongside electrophysiologists and interventional cardiologists to provide comprehensive, patient-centered cardiac care during the pre and procedural course. 

In addition to her permanent roles, Megan has provided locum tenens cardiology services, delivering high-quality cardiovascular care across diverse clinical settings. In these assignments, she seamlessly integrated into established cardiology teams, managing acute and chronic cardiac conditions while ensuring continuity of care.

Her locum experience reflects clinical versatility, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with electrophysiologists, interventional cardiologists, and multidisciplinary care teams. Megan’s commitment to maintaining excellence in dynamic environments underscores her dedication to advancing cardiovascular outcomes wherever she serves.
