About Dr. Peter
Vero Beach Medical Director
Dr. Peter completed his medical school at the Federal University of Ceará, Brazil. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Born in Brazil, Dr. Peter is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. He moved to Vero Beach in 2010, where he chose to raise his family. He is actively involved in the community and has held several leadership roles, including Medical Director of the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Indian River County, Clinical Assistant Professor at Florida State University, and Vice Chief of Cardiology at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Medical Center.
In 2010, Dr. Peter moved to Vero beach with his wife and 3 kids. He is very involved in his community, serving as the president of the Indian River Medical Society for a number of years. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, kayaking and running.
